Karakami is a traditional Japanese decorative paper created using a technique similar to woodblock printing, made by applying patterns to paper with carved wooden printing blocks.
Historically used as fusuma (sliding door) paper to enrich traditional Japanese interiors, karakami is now also used in modern spaces as wallpaper, architectural panels, and lampshades.
We offer customization of both paper color and print color, and can also accommodate original pattern designs. Please feel free to contact us.
About the Pattern
The plum blossom, which blooms earlier than all other flowers, has inspired many traditional motifs throughout history.
In this design, both the branches and blossoms express the soft curves and fluid elegance characteristic of the Rinpa school of Japanese painting.
